About the Role
The Maintenance Manager oversees the operation and maintenance of the facility, including arcade games, go-karts, and track functionality. This role ensures the facility, attractions, and equipment run smoothly and efficiently while adhering to manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform diversified duties and repairs to maintain facility, go-karts, and arcade game functionality.
- Conduct unscheduled repairs of attractions as needed when issues arise.
- Perform scheduled maintenance repairs on go-karts, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checklists to ensure safety and proper lubrication.
- Adhere to manufacturer procedures and guidelines for all maintenance work.
- Maintain documentation and repair logs, including annual inspections, NDT testing, and bearing monitoring.
- Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, troubleshooting, and repair skills to facility, go-karts, and attractions.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments using hand and power tools (e.g., torque wrench, paint gun).
- Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report unusual situations to supervision.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
- Review processes and procedures regularly to improve efficiency and safety.
- Create a positive safety culture for employees and visitors, ensuring compliance with Five Star Parks and Attractions standards.
- Perform general building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and assist in preventative maintenance for rides and attractions.
- Coordinate tasks and repairs with supervisors, order parts/supplies, and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Estimate repair costs for machinery, equipment, or building structures.
- Complete work orders, inspection forms, and preventative maintenance checklists.
- Paint or repair building structures (e.g., windows, doors, floors, drywall).
- Operate welding equipment, forklifts, and personal lifts; perform light electrical and plumbing work.
- Change furnace filters and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or related technical school degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance-related position.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government-required licenses, certificates, or permits.
- Experience working on small engines and general maintenance (additional training provided for the right candidate).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Qualifications
- Highly organized with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a loud environment for up to 10-hour shifts.
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and walking.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools; light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills preferred.
- Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance standards.
