Maintenance Manager

Essential Job Duties

• Follow the budget guideline for the maintenance department.
• Schedule and direct the maintenance and custodial staff.
• Create and direct a preventative maintenance program to achieve zero-downtime operations.
• Maintain an adequate and organized parts inventory and source best pricing for necessary parts and supplies.
• Order parts for laundry facilities.
• Obtain approval from the Regional Maintenance Manager for orders over $1,000.
• Recruit, train, and manage the maintenance staff in all aspects of industrial maintenance.
• Maintain and obtain all required licenses and permits related to pressure vessels, backflow preventers, wastewater discharge permits, and state guidelines for piping and equipment as needed.
• Manage the custodial function and staff, ensuring appropriate supplies are available for daily cleaning.
• Conduct staff evaluations, make recommendations, and guide the maintenance staff for career development.
• Follow all company growth programs annually.
• Participate in safety meetings with the entire staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulics, Steam, and Natural Gas Combustion.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, interpersonal and listening skills, and the ability to speak effectively in front of groups.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, dealing with variables in standardized and non-standardized situations.
• Strong computer proficiency, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office applications (Word and Excel), including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems.
