About the Role
Responsible for providing overall management for facility maintenance, including daily oversight and quality control of all aspects of facility operations. Manages and trains facility maintenance staff and Job Corps' Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department, ensuring adherence to integrity guidelines and no manipulation of student data.
Responsibilities
- Manage facility maintenance through planning, budget control, staff training, scheduling, and evaluation.
- Oversee and ensure quality control of all facility and equipment subcontract work performed on Center, including third-party projects impacting Center Operations.
- Coordinate with Center Management in CTST project planning sessions and maintenance meetings to ensure construction activities meet Company quality control standards.
- Develop, implement, and manage the Center's energy conservation, preventative maintenance, and facility management plans.
- Develop, manage, and ensure effective implementation of a computerized work order system, including timely corrective and preventative maintenance, with student involvement.
- Prepare scopes of work and punch lists for subcontracts to ensure contractor work meets local, Company, and Government standards.
- Ensure staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements and fill vacancies in a timely manner.
- Motivate, empower, and hold staff accountable for producing quality work, including career development and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Provide required and supplemental training for new and current employees.
- Mentor, monitor, and model Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
- Show respect and courtesy to students, holding them accountable for their actions and ensuring their needs are met.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and contribute meaningfully to group efforts.
- Identify problems, analyze causes, and evaluate solutions prior to taking action, ensuring follow-up for prompt resolution.
- Collaborate with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students.
- Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director or designated managers, including temporary assignments to other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree from an accredited school or technical certification preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in a supervisory capacity; Electrician, HVAC, and/or Plumbing license preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch.
- Demonstrated ability to lift 40 pounds or assess lift loads to request necessary assistance.
