Responsibilities
- Perform various maintenance duties requiring technical labor skills, including HVAC repairs and adjustments, plumbing, light carpentry/construction, appliance repair, groundskeeping, and more.
- Work as a team participant with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the community meets quality maintenance standards set by ELS.
- Communicate daily vendor appointments and required work at morning staff meetings.
- Regularly communicate and work closely with other maintenance workers, management, and staff on special maintenance projects.
- Maintain grounds and common areas, keeping them free from trash and debris.
- Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
- Cultivate and maintain irrigation systems.
- Move heavy objects and drive maintenance trucks to various locations on the property.
- Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of direct technical work experience in applicable areas, including irrigation repairs, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Willingness to be on call for emergencies that arise after hours.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Knowledge of basic electrical systems and plumbing.
- Basic computer skills for managing inventory and scheduling.
