Responsibilities

• Perform various maintenance duties requiring technical labor skills, including HVAC repairs and adjustments, plumbing, light carpentry/construction, appliance repair, groundskeeping, and more.
• Work as a team participant with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the community meets quality maintenance standards set by ELS.
• Communicate daily vendor appointments and required work at morning staff meetings.
• Regularly communicate and work closely with other maintenance workers, management, and staff on special maintenance projects.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, keeping them free from trash and debris.
• Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
• Cultivate and maintain irrigation systems.
• Move heavy objects and drive maintenance trucks to various locations on the property.
• Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of direct technical work experience in applicable areas, including irrigation repairs, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Willingness to be on call for emergencies that arise after hours.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems and plumbing.
• Basic computer skills for managing inventory and scheduling.
