What Drives Success
Under general direction, perform general preventative maintenance and simple repairs on manufacturing machines and mechanical equipment.
- Performs maintenance service and repairs.
- Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Diagnostics mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Inspects drives, motors, and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, or performs other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Provides work leadership for lower level maintenance mechanics through assignment of work.
- Provides technical guidance and review of assignment progress.
- May involve repair of electrical systems.
What We Are Looking For
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires at least 8 years related experience.
- May require a journeyman's card or equivalent.
- May require technical diploma or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Expert knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
- Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Strong ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- May require some electrical knowledge.
- Must be able move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to provide training and work leadership.
What We Offer
- Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $38.35/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
