Maintenance Housekeeping

About the role

Housekeeping is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the College/Clinic building and assisting in eliminating distractions such as unwanted dirt and smells from the learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, striping and waxing of floors.
• Select, measure and mix products for cleaning jobs.
• Clean, sanitize and polish restrooms and their fixtures.
• Clean and polish classroom and office furniture.
• Remove waste and infectious disease.
• Spot clean and shampoo carpets.
• Stock closets with cleaning and paper products.
• Sweep and shovel walkways 10' from all entrances.
• Check and fill soap dispensers as necessary.
• Demonstrate ability to follow directions and provide dependable services.
• Wash windows and window sills.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• 1 or more years of custodial experience.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Customer-oriented and friendly.
• Prioritization and time management skills.
• Working quickly without compromising quality.

Working Conditions

• The ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Pay

Salary: USD $35,360.00 per year.
