Maintenance Helper

Responsibilities

• May remove dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
• Paints machines, equipment, or physical structures.
• Patches or replaces plaster or plasterboard and paints walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Aid Maintenance Technicians with maintenance, repair, installing, fabricating, adjusting, rebuilding, etc.
• Perform regular inspections and maintain records for fire prevention and extinguishing equipment, lifting equipment, etc.
• Using Maintenance vehicle, pick up and deliver materials, supplies and equipment.
• Perform janitorial duties in the absence of the janitor
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare conference or training rooms for meetings as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Recognize operating irregularities, safety hazards and notify proper personnel to correct

Requirements

• 6 months of previous maintenance training or education
• Experience with mechanical methods and procedure
• Ability to demonstrate good troubleshooting and repair skills
• Good communications skills
• Willing to do a variety of different jobs
• A valid agency issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Qualifications

• Must have a valid agency issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record (no moving violations within the last 12 months, no "2 point" violations within the last 3 years, and no DUI's within the last 7 years)
