Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I performs unskilled maintenance work in the daily and preventive care, repair, and maintenance of building systems and equipment. This is an entry-level position serving as an apprentice for Maintenance Technicians Level II.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
- Identify deficiencies and follow procedure for correcting problems.
- May be on call in case of an emergency.
Requirements
- 1+ years of previous experience in building maintenance or construction, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in a technical field such as HVAC, building trades or building utilities program (preferred).
- Current & valid Drivers’ License and driving record free of major infractions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Building maintenance or construction experience.
- Technical skills in areas such as plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring, masonry, painting, mechanical, and carpentry.

Pay and Schedule
Pay Range: $17+ Depending on Experience
Part-Time position: 20 hours per week, variable schedule including some weekends.
