Maintenance Generalist /Jack Mechanic- A shift, Blountsville, AL (JULY)

About the role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
• Serve as a member of the Plant Hazmat Team
• Complete computer-based training and enter work into the SAP system
• Use LOTO, Fall Protection, Ladders, Forklifts, and Pallet Jacks

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months' industrial maintenance experience OR recent graduate from an accredited school for industrial maintenance
• Industrial maintenance work experience must be documented in the work history section of the application or resume must be uploaded
• Must provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history
• Willing to work overtime and weekends
• Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of industrial maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application, or graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
• Must list work experience in the work experience section of the application or upload a resume

Physical demands

• Standing approximately 8.5 hours/day on concrete floor
• Pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs.
• Climbing ladders above 10 feet
• Some departments are hot/wet, and some are cold/wet

Schedule

• 6 days a week, and 7 if production works on Saturday
