SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing as part of a team that maintains and repairs machines in a production setting, including preventive maintenance and identifying solutions to better meet performance goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up equipment or machines
  • Adjust production machines and related equipment, according to maintenance schedule, manufacturer's service manuals and production tolerances
  • Inspect machines and troubleshoot to detect potential malfunctions
  • Replace repaired parts or install new parts to restore machine to operating condition
  • Lubricate grease fittings and moving parts of machine and other preventive maintenance requirements as directed by supervisors
  • Complete Preventive Maintenance and work orders in a timely manner
  • Work within safety guidelines at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Physical Requirements / Environment: Stand/Walk: Continuously throughout shift; Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs), Occasionally as required with assistance (up to 35-50 lbs.); Other Physical Requirements: Frequently; Bend/Stoop, Squat, Crawl, Climb, Reach Above Shoulder (2-3 ft.), Crouch, Kneel, Push/Pull, Grasp; Physical Environment: Continuously: Working around moving machinery, working in a damp, slippery and cold environment (Below 40° F)
  • Requirement: Minimum of 6 months cumulative experience in industrial maintenance or auto mechanics. Education program completion or certification can be used in place of experience.

REHIRING CONSIDERATION

Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire. 90 days (3 months) waiting period.
