Maintenance Generalist (2nd Shift)-Gadsden, AL
Applicants will be considered for the posted shifts and hours. Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.
About the role
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to create work orders and complete daily documentation required in the system.
- Read and write as required
- Perform work-related math computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
- Lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis and work on your feet for 12 hours
- Complete all required job training
- Communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding equipment repair status
- Operate Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Ladders, Fall Protection, and follow Lock Out Tag Out requirements
Requirements
- At least 6 months of industrial maintenance experience within the last 12 months or verifiable schooling in a relevant industrial maintenance trade (can be a combination of employers)
- Ability to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
