Position Summary

The Maintenance & Engineering Manager leads the maintenance and engineering function for a high-speed food manufacturing facility. This role owns equipment reliability, capital projects, and maintenance team performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance and engineering team
• Own preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Manage capital projects from scope through startup
• Drive equipment reliability, uptime, and OEE improvements
• Oversee utilities, including refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, and wastewater
• Manage the maintenance budget and spare parts inventory
• Support food safety, sanitary design, and regulatory compliance
• Partner with Operations, Quality, and Safety on plant goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related) required
• 7+ years of engineering or maintenance experience in food, dairy, beverage, or CPG manufacturing
• 3+ years leading maintenance or engineering teams
• Experience managing capital projects
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, PLCs, and CMMS
• Familiarity with GMP, SQF, and OSHA requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification
• Reliability or lean/continuous improvement background
• PE license
• Perishable Food Product Experience (Meat, Dairy, Produce, Commodities)

Pay

$160,000.00 USD Annually - $180,000.00 USD Annually
