Maintenance - Engineer, Maintenance Slry

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Analyze repetitive equipment failures, identify root causes, make recommendations, implement correct actions and develop long term equipment reliability programs.
• Evaluate maintenance costs and estimate effective alternatives.
• Aid in the selection and maintenance of software for TPM processes.
• Develop and maintain CMMS system for facilities.
• Forecast spare parts requirements.
• Assess the need, timing, and cost for equipment upgrades, rebuilds, and replacements and make recommendations.
• Coordinate with other engineering resources, operations, maintenance personnel, and outside contractors to schedule and manage projects.

Secondary Functions

• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in planning, scheduling, and supervising services for Maintenance, Machine Shop, and Engineering departments.
• Coordinate procurement of outside contractors/vendors for maintaining facility auxiliary systems like HVAC, boilers, propane/CNG systems, CO2 & Halon systems, emergency generators, and fire protection systems.
• Maintain the work order system and participate in safety, environmental, and ISO audits.
• Perform administrative activities including employee selection and development, safety, employee counseling, motivation, goal setting, and work planning, organizing, and measuring.
• Promote lean, quality, and team concepts.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology or related field.
• Experience: 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing, maintenance environment in an engineering or maintenance support role.
