Maintenance Engineer II - PRN

About the role

Under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations/Facilities, or his/her designee, the Engineer will be responsible for maintenance and repair of various systems including power distribution, emergency generators, medical gas piping networks, fire sprinkler systems, steam boilers, hot water boilers, related pumps, HVAC systems, communications systems, mechanical systems, sewage and drainage systems.

• Order parts and document orders
• Perform duties unsupervised

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Vocational training in related job fields
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• 6 years experience in plant operations and maintenance required
• Knowledge and technical skills required for the repair and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, fixtures, devices, and applications
• Technical knowledge and skill to perform minor carpentry work and repairs
• State of California Certification for handling of refrigerants preferred
• Maintain a current California Driver’s License
