Maintenance Engineer I
About the role
The Maintenance Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace leads a team, provides technical expertise, and ensures smooth operations in the MSC business unit. This role drives project success and business growth by overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
Oversee the installation, modification, and upgrade of manufacturing equipment.
Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
Study equipment performance and reliability to identify opportunities for improvement.
Establish programs and solutions aimed at increasing equipment uptime and addressing issues that affect the manufacturing process.
Provide technical support to the manufacturing repair and process engineering teams to enhance production efficiency.
Collaborate directly with the Production Maintenance team to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
Define and write preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operation of equipment.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of manufacturing equipment to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Read, interpret, and update prints/schematics for manufacturing equipment as needed.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Prior experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
