Summary

Golden Pahrump Nugget, LLC is a hospitality, gaming, and entertainment company that values its employees. We seek a Maintenance Engineer who will ensure the smooth operation of our properties through troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
  • Diagnose and perform repairs on equipment and systems across guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, casino, and back-of-house areas
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, kitchen, and HVAC systems
  • Complete minor cosmetic repairs and installations for furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Aid in shift turnover by communicating pending work orders and unresolved maintenance issues
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hotel or facility maintenance experience
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
  • Knowledge and/or certification in one or more of the following: plumbing, air handling, refrigeration, electricity, electronics, carpentry, flooring, kitchen equipment, or upholstery
  • Southern Nevada pool certification preferred
  • 5 years of plumbing experience preferred
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality guest service

Requirements

  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently push/pull up to 100 lbs
  • Frequently lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels
  • Regularly squat, kneel, reach, bend, and twist
  • Regularly stand and walk throughout shift
  • Occasionally sit and work at a desk or computer
  • Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in person
  • Ability to distinguish between shades of color
  • Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
  • Ability to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolding, and/or ramps

Work Environment

  • Potential conditions include indoor, outdoor, smoky, noisy, bright flashing lights, extreme heights, extreme hot/cold temperatures, slippery surfaces, exposure to dust, fumes, and/or gases
