Maintenance Engineer, Hospitality

Job Summary

The Maintenance Engineer at LaPlaya Beach Resort & Club plays a crucial role in maintaining the resort's facilities, engineering systems, and grounds to the highest standards. This position requires a proactive approach to repairs, excellent communication skills, and adherence to preventative maintenance programs.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in facilities maintenance engineering, preferably in hospitality or property management
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights
• Effective communication with guests, vendors, and team members
• Able to diagnose problems using meters and gauges, and other measuring units
• Ability to prioritize and complete maintenance work orders timely and accurately
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and work long hours as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safety and security protocols
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
