Maintenance Engineer - Automotive Assembly

About the role

Stefanini Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for an automotive assembly operation in Hagerstown, MD. This is a 100% onsite position located at 13302 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742. The facility operates on a three-shift schedule, and occasional support beyond first shift is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure processes are developed and secured to meet Professional Maintenance theories and applications according to VPS (World Class Manufacturing) standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance within Operations Maintenance to foster a continuous improvement culture focused on loss reduction, waste elimination, employee engagement, and lean theories.
• Support the development and application of Professional Maintenance Focused Area principles and tools across the organization.
• Apply proper methods and tools to reduce equipment failure-related losses.
• Perform data analysis (current and historical) and root cause analysis.
• Validate, update, and control machine drawings and prints.
• Evaluate machine components for life cycle and reliability improvements.
• Develop and attain Condition Based Maintenance programs.
• Create, validate, and standardize Maintenance Procedures.
• Extend machine life and increase reliability through targeted interventions.
• Coordinate interfaces between all areas connected with Professional Maintenance (methods, tools, data, etc.).
• Participate in improvement activities across various focus areas and equipment needs.

• BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Controls, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven exposure to and execution of engineering projects (mechanical, electrical, industrial).
• Strong time management, prioritization, and communication skills.

OR — Eight years minimum combined post-high-school education and experience within a manufacturing environment.
