About the role
The Maintenance Engineer performs building repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic preventive maintenance to the building structure and systems, light maintenance and cleaning. They help promote a culture and demonstrate leadership that is committed to sustainability and strategic energy management.
Responsibilities
- Performs general maintenance and repairs
- Changes lighting fixtures
- Makes minor plumbing repairs
- Orders lighting and plumbing equipment and supplies
- Performs odd jobs for tenants (e.g., including moving furniture, hanging photos)
- Performs other maintenance as directed by work orders
- Participates in the Engineering on-call schedule
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current driver’s license required
Qualifications
- Some knowledge of basic repairs and lighting
- Familiar with hand tools and general maintenance
- Excellent customer service
