About the role
The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa is a historic resort destination in New England, blending timeless charm with modern amenities. The property attracts a diverse mix of leisure, corporate, and event guests, offering a dynamic and well-rounded hospitality experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and address work order statuses as assigned.
- Prioritize and respond to issues in a timely manner.
- Complete projects including work in remodeling, light carpentry, general repairs, painting, tile work, lighting, refrigeration, etc.
- Aware of and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal codes.
- Prep areas and apply interior paint, sanding, wallpaper application/repair, and basic furniture and equipment repair.
- Maintain guest rooms, restaurant, and public areas to company standards.
- Communicate shift details to Manager and Front Office/Housekeeping based on work order completion and progress.
- Maintain continuous communication with Front Office during all shifts to ensure all complaints are addressed.
- Have a thorough understanding of fire alarm procedures, emergency evacuation procedures, and all safety-related issues.
- Maintain safe and clear exterior walking areas including landscaping, waste removal, and snow/ice management.
- Ensure facilities buildings, workspaces, and company vehicles are clean, safe, and organized.
- Use safe work practices daily. Report any unsafe areas to Director of Engineering.
- Work effectively with other maintenance personnel in a positive, professional manner.
- Work with professionalism and high standards of guest services and quality of work.
- Assist Maintenance Manager with additional assigned tasks and projects.
Qualifications
- General maintenance or handy work experience with a well-rounded skill set including basic carpentry, painting, and household repairs.
- Experience in a hotel or resort setting a plus.
- Flexible availability to work flexible hours based on business needs including weekdays and weekends.
- Sincere enthusiasm for the role and passion for maintenance.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion.
- Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality.
