Maintenance Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and engaged Maintenance Engineer to foster a continuous improvement culture across our Operations Maintenance functions. In this role, you will provide leadership and technical guidance using Lean and World-Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles—specifically focusing on Professional Maintenance methodologies to reduce equipment losses, eliminate waste, and increase overall plant reliability.
Responsibilities
- Support Operations Maintenance with the ongoing development and implementation of Professional Maintenance principles, tools, and best practices.
- Apply proper engineering methods to reduce equipment failures, extend machine life cycles, and maximize reliability.
- Utilize current and historical operational data to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on chronic machine issues.
- Develop and advance Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) strategies and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Create, validate, and update Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) as well as engineering drawings, prints, and schematics.
- Serve as the main interface across departments for Professional Maintenance activities, methods, and reliability data.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Controls, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) PLUS 5+ years of technical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

8+ years of combined post-high school education and hands-on manufacturing/engineering experience.
Skills
- Proven track record of executing mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering projects within a manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of World-Class Manufacturing (WCM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or Lean manufacturing frameworks.
- Strong ability to read, validate, and update technical drawings and schematics.
- Solid time management, prioritization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative relationship-builder with a strong focus on internal operations and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to guide teams, drive change, and influence outcomes across shift boundaries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster network-building and transparent teamwork.
