About the role

Summary: Eligible employee will perform the duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the facility in good repair. Minor electrical work, following health care regulations, mechanical repairs and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties. Due to on-call requirements the Engineer will need to live within a 35 minute driving distance from the facility. This is full-time (1.0 FTE, 80 hours per two weeks) position.

Responsibilities

• Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Maintenance Department.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
• Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and systems as required.
• Assists in maintaining electrical wiring and emergency generator system; inspects and tests equipment/systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance duties to all physical structures of the facility and complies with all building safety codes (including facility equipment and associated controls).
