Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment for maintenance needs.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Maintain and repair doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, and other hotel equipment.
- Aid with preventative maintenance throughout the property.
- Monitor and maintain the hotel's pool, whirlpool, and related equipment as required.
- Aid with maintaining the hotel's mechanical and operational systems.
- Identify safety hazards and ensure they are addressed promptly.
- Keep accurate records of completed maintenance work and repairs.
- Work with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance area.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and other seasonal property needs.
- Respond to emergencies and urgent maintenance issues when necessary.
- Follow all hotel, company, OSHA, and safety procedures.
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests and coworkers at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, facilities, hotel, apartment, commercial building, or related experience preferred.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, management, and vendors.
- Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as needed.
- Ability to work on ladders and perform physical tasks associated with hotel maintenance.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays when needed.
