Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Hilton Santa Clara is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Engineer to join our great team and enjoy all the benefits of our exciting hotel environment.

Ideal candidate will be available for a flexible schedule to include AM/PM shifts, weekdays, weekend and holidays.

Job Duties

• Make repairs involving painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC.
• Handle or assist preventative maintenance of hotel facilities.
• Be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect our guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
• Inform Engineering Management of any such emergencies.
• Maintain a thorough log of each day’s activities and problems that occur and ensure this information is passed on to other shifts.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed by Engineering Management.
• Work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized.
• Serve as otherwise directed or needed to help maintain the effective and efficient operation of the hotel.
• Understand and handle guest inquiries and provide responses.

Qualifications

• High School (Preferred)
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Painting and general repairs
• HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)
• Plumbing
• Electrical system
• Building maintenance, facilities management and construction
