6-month minimum contract at £30.15 per hour on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (overtime available).
Responsibilities
- Provide reactive breakdown support to minimise disruption.
- Execute planned and preventative maintenance activities.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using drawings, diagnostics, and equipment history.
- Identify and rectify recurring equipment faults, including implementation of permanent corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
- Assist with machinery modifications, upgrades, and repair works as required.
- Deliver all services in compliance with site health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Time-served engineer or demonstrable equivalent industry experience.
- Multi-skilled capabilities with proven experience in FMCG manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with:
- 3-phase electrical systems
- Motors, drives, inverters, and safety circuits
- I/O PLC fault-finding (Siemens / Allen Bradley or similar)
- Automated food production and packaging equipment
- Able to work with minimal direction, managing workload and priorities independently.
- Strong communication skills when liaising with site stakeholders.
