- Maintain guest rooms, public areas, F&B outlets and three commercial kitchens, the rooftop, and back-of-house spaces to Fairlane's standards
- Complete assigned work orders in the Optii platform, logging status and closing out each request with a clear record
- Prioritize urgent guest-impacting issues and communicate delays to the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer
- Follow up to confirm repairs and resolve the original issue before closing a request
- Carry out assigned preventive maintenance on schedule and fully documented
- Support the upkeep of mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, water-supply, electrical, and elevator systems
- Report developing issues or unusual wear promptly, particularly on the building's original 1970s systems
- Respond to engineering-related emergencies as directed, including fire alarm activations, flooding, power outages, and equipment failures
- Maintain working familiarity with building emergency systems, shutoffs, and evacuation routes
- Follow all safety protocols and immediately flag any life-safety concern to a supervisor
- Support Front Office, Housekeeping, and F&B with prompt, courteous service on shared spaces and equipment
- Keep work areas, tools, and shared equipment clean, organized, and ready for the next shift

- Ability to follow instructions, complete assigned work independently, and communicate status clearly
- Comfort with basic work-order software (Optii a plus)
- A reliable, safety-conscious, team-oriented approach
