Maintenance Engineer 7am - 3pm
About the role
This is an entry level position that performs general repairs in and around the resort as needed. Applicant must have basic electrical, plumbing, a/c troubleshooting, and the ability to repair various equipment, fixtures, appliances and electronics in a standard resort environment. On the job training will be available to refine necessary skills, techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repair and maintenance of any and all equipment found in and around the resort under direction of the Property Operations Supervisor and Director of Property Operations.
- Accurate record keeping on assigned tasks is required.
- Ensure that all safety systems are operable.
- Respond to guest room calls as required within the designated time frame set by the resort.
Requirements
- In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the resort:
- Assist other departmental craft workers as required.
- Perform all duties required as Fire Alarm Response Team.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education required.
- This is an entry level position for a candidate that has basic experience in electrical, plumbing, cable television, kitchen equipment and A/C troubleshooting.
Skills
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must uphold a clean and respectable general appearance and dress in a well fitted company uniform.
- Must have all around skills and be able to make minor electrical, plumbing, a/c, painting, wallpaper and carpentry repairs.
- Must possess a high level of accuracy and neatness.
