Maintenance Engineer 2
Responsibilities
Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested. Assists in tests, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under direct supervision. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis and in a timely manner. Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs. Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation. Manages and maintains tools and equipment in good working condition. Collaborates with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks do not interfere with operations. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Ability to perform electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations
- Able to assist in contributing to system training manuals and upgrades as changes occur
- Able to communicate in English
- Able to document records neatly and accurately
- Able to generate requisitions for materials and supplies
- Able to assign priority and teams in a timely manner
- Able to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
- Able to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes
- Knowledge of safe handling and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Basic Microsoft office computer skills
Qualifications
- High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience
