Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues by using hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems, isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures across both machinery and facility needs
- Perform maintenance on the building, generators, and machines, including changing out drives, lights, and other components as needed
- Work on hydraulics and pneumatics
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
- Research and configure solutions, estimate time and material costs, and requisition necessary parts and supplies
- Work on scheduled projects while also responding to immediate equipment needs
- Inspect completed work for conformance with local building and safety codes, performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Mentor and provide leadership to peers as needed
Required Education and Work Experience
- Journeyman License Required
- 4+ years of experience
