Maintenance Electrical Engineering Co-op
About the role
We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op at our Rhinelander, Wisconsin Plant for the 2027 Spring semester (January – August) or the Fall semester (June – December). This individual will aid in making process and reliability improvements in a paper manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
- Assist with multiple capital and maintenance projects.
- Work with suppliers and contractors on project related tasks.
- Support operations/maintenance efforts and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, or related degree program.
- Living in or willing to relocate to Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the position.
- Strong technical aptitude and proven problem solving abilities.
Qualifications
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Skills
Strong desire to work within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
