About the role
Maintenance of facility and equipment, including preventive maintenance and urgent repair needs. Provides counsel to management regarding facility issues.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for budget, accounts payable, reports, and required documentation.
- Responsible for Preventative Maintenance program and ensures compliance according to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintains all facility equipment in a safe and functioning manner.
- Maintains furnishings and grounds, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.
- Responds to requests for repairs as directed by General Manager.
- Responsible for fire safety. Conducts monthly fire drills in accordance with Life Safety and Federal regulations. Participates in general orientation on fire safety.
- Chair of Safety Committee. Responsible for safety on the grounds.
- Participates in Quality Improvement and Department Head meetings.
- Handles and/or supervises snow removal and landscaping.
- Has on-call responsibility to respond to off-hours facility emergencies.
- Applies “5 Star” customer-service approach in all aspects of the job.
- Actively supports Wingate’s commitment to providing “5 Star” service on all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations, or standards of conduct.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with general electrical and plumbing.
- Carpentry skills required.
- Must have knowledge of general maintenance and functions of all equipment.
- Must carry walkie talkie and respond to maintenance calls.
- Must be able to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions.
- Must read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies.
- Must know how to turn off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to facility.
- Must be able to see small details in equipment, machinery, etc.
- Must be knowledgeable of Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens and Fire & Disaster Plan, and follow policies and procedures.
