About the role
This is a full-time, hourly W2 position located in Dawson, GA. The role is on-site and requires a reliable, experienced Maintenance Tech looking to build a lasting career.
Schedule
7:00 AM until released (typically 3:00 PM). Overtime, weekends, and on-call work as needed or scheduled.
Pay
$20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Conduct job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintain a safe work record
- Maintain good attendance
- Minimize unscheduled losses and improve reliability
- Work on-call schedule
- Maintain good communication with all plant personnel (other shifts, departments, and managers)
- Inspect and identify equipment and machines that need repair
- Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to processing equipment, including:
- Elevators
- Augers
- Shafts
- Bearings
- Reducers
- Sheaves
- Use various mechanical tools, weld, and use fabrication tools
- Understand and perform assigned job tasks independently while flexible enough to work in team settings
- Maintain good housekeeping and complete sanitation duties and paperwork as required
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual inspections and report any problems noted
- Be willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facility
- Maintain documentation required to perform job duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age or older
- 3+ years of mechanical work experience, preferably in a factory/manufacturing environment
- Experience with MIG and Stick welding (plasma torch experience is a plus)
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed
- Excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until shift ends)
- Demonstrated ability to be observant and address concerns that may arise
- Positive attitude and team mindset
- Focus on safety and commitment to ADM’s zero-injury culture
- Ability to wear steel-toe boots with ankle support (no tennis shoes)
ADM requires the successful completion of a background check. Previous factory experience is preferred.
