Maintenance Custodian Associate

As a Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club, you ensure members see a well-kept parking lot, clean restrooms, and clean floors. This role requires you to be constantly on your feet and on the go while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure customers have a great experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintains safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to management.
- Cleans all areas of the facility (e.g., floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment while following company procedures and guidelines.
- Ensures a safe and clean environment for members and associates by performing maintenance as necessary, responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with the Company Environmental Sustainability Program.
- Maintains appropriate levels of company-approved chemicals and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and storage, and placing orders to replenish supplies when low.
- Ensures customers have a great first and last impression by maintaining a positive attitude and a clean, welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to different work scenarios.
- Ability to work an entire shift on your feet and in physically demanding environments.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
