Maintenance/Custodial - Cleaner

About the role

Located at Brookside Middle School. Reports to the Director of Operations, Principal, Head Custodian, Custodian, or designee. The goal is to provide a clean, safe and attractive school facility. Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of school facilities as assigned.
• Clean windows inside and out.
• Keep walks, steps, and entrances free of snow, ice, and debris as necessary.
• Clean floors using ride-on or walk-behind cleaning equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head Custodian, Custodian, Principal, Business Manager or designee.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior successful experience as a cleaner preferred.
• General knowledge of cleaning and housekeeping.
• Ability to perform relevant mathematical calculations.
• Additional qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and necessary under law (non‑arbitrary, non‑capricious).

Pay

Base rate of pay: $16.88 per hour.

Schedule

179 days plus contracted holidays, 4 hours per day (2 pm – 6 pm).
