Job Duties

  • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of systems within a juvenile facility and its support buildings.
  • Conduct regular inspections and complete assigned work orders with minimal supervision, addressing maintenance issues in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Afford assistance in maintaining grounds and operating groundskeeping equipment, ensuring exterior areas of the facility are well-kept and functional.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to discuss non-routine or complex maintenance tasks and ensure proper resolution of maintenance challenges.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities within the Facility Maintenance Group to support a flexible and knowledgeable maintenance team.
  • Assist with a variety of general maintenance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall upkeep and functionality of the facility.

Must have a Valid Driver's license upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

  • Skilled in diagnosing and repairing maintenance issues.
  • Ability to operate and maintain maintenance equipment and tools.

Pay

Salary Range: $34,270-$59,973
Grade: NC06

Schedule
