About the role
This is a weekend position working 36 hours and paid for 40. Shift hours are Fri, Sat, and Sun 6am – 6:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers
- Work overtime as necessary
- Install, replace, repair, and maintain plant equipment and machinery
- General building maintenance
- Attend meetings as directed and take ownership of all tasks assigned
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks per the PM software and/or as assigned
- Create work orders within the PM software
- Set up and operate all maintenance equipment necessary to fabricate parts or to repair machines
- Assist in maintaining and repairing our powder coating system and its components
- General carpentry work
- Minor masonry and concrete work
- General plumbing work
- Determine proper layout of water, air, and gas lines when installing equipment
- Operate band saws, drill presses, pipe threading equipment, and hand tools
- Perform daily system checks, including boiler, air compressors, chemical treatment, and water softening equipment as assigned
- Set up and operate maintenance equipment to execute necessary repairs and revisions of sewer, water, air, and miscellaneous liquid piping systems throughout the facility
- Track daily activities in maintenance software
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Perform minor electrical repairs (change proximity switches, fuses, motors, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years successful maintenance/auto repair experience
- Must successfully pass Maintenance Class 2 Test (those grandfathered into this position will have approximately 6 months to train in order to pass the test)
- Must have valid forklift license or ability to acquire one
- Basic knowledge of robotic equipment operations
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods
- Detailed and hands-on oriented
