About the role

The 14 CFR Part 135 Chief Inspector is directly responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities meet FAA Regulations (CFR), manufacturer specifications, and company standards. They will manage inspection programs, airworthiness compliance, Required Inspection Items (RII), training program, and aircraft conformity verification. They communicate with relevant individuals regarding safety, security, and quality issues.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Circadian Aviation Maintenance personnel are maintaining aircraft records, logbooks, and other documentation to the Circadian General Maintenance Manual requirements and 14 CFR 135 rules.
  • Maintain the system of record keeping for calibrated tools and precision test equipment, ensuring the established check periods are not exceeded.
  • Perform all required tasks and document reviews to conform and onboard managed aircraft.
  • Administer managed aircraft Operational Specifications (Ops Specs) and Letter of Authorization (LOA), including all 14 CFR part 91 submissions.
  • Timely completion and filing of Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) when required.
  • Auditing of all work packages for technical accuracy and physical completeness.
  • Ensuring the airworthiness of work performed by contract maintenance providers.
  • Administration of the Maintenance Training Program and recordkeeping.
  • Ensuring all managed aircraft are compliant with applicable AD’s and required maintenance.
  • Overseeing the RII program, including training of personnel, tracking program compliance, and proper documentation.
  • Auditing 135 aircraft, approved vendors, and facilities.
  • Overseeing the Weight & Balance Program.
  • Managing Minimum Equipment Lists Program including submissions of MELs for approval.
  • Managing Maintenance tracking programs for proper compliance and configuration.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate and at least 5 years experience in maintenance and inspection of light and heavy business jet aircraft (Citation XLS, Phenom, Challenger, Falcon and Gulfstream).
  • Demonstrated experience with 14 CFR Part 135 and 145 operations.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA Regulations (14 CFR Parts 43, 65, 91, 119, 135, and 145).
  • Proficiency with computerized aircraft maintenance tracking programs (e.g. CAMP, CMP, Traxxall, etc.).
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe, and other computer software platforms.
  • Previous experience as an inspector preferred.
