About the role

This position requires maintenance activities including occasional assistance with basic mechanical tasks, repairs, and methods. The applicant must be able to take directions from supervision and be self-driven to assist in reaching goals as defined in our PM Program.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components according to project requirements.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, corrosion, and structural integrity.
• Perform maintenance and repairs during planned outages and turnarounds.
• Operate cutting, grinding, rigging, and lifting equipment safely.
• Conduct hydrostatic and pressure testing on completed work.
• Follow all company, site, and regulatory safety procedures.
• Document maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations personnel to complete projects efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and assist in determining root cause of equipment issues.
• Communicate repairs to supervisor and follow up with documentation as necessary.
• Participate in weekly call-out rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on craft experience.
• Good technical working knowledge of pressure vessels, boilers, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to input data into computer software.
• Proficient in repairing equipment to OEM tolerances.
• Ability to complete detailed forms.
• Skills in cutting, fitting, and fabrication techniques.
• Basic knowledge of SAP or ability to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• NCCER Boilermaker certification or equivalent.
• Experience in industrial, chemical, refinery, paper mill, power generation, or manufacturing environments.
