About the role
Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Maintenance at our Manhattan, KS Location. The Maintenance position is responsible for the maintenance and appearance of all company buildings and grounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on the company's buildings and properties.
- Plumbing: cutting various copper pipes, soldering, removing and installing various types of faucets, toilet and urinal parts, installing garbage disposals, replacing P-traps, working with PVC piping, and removing and installing sinks.
- Carpentry: removing and installing cabinets, countertops, drawer brackets, staining or varnishing, working with molding and trim, using a router, skill saw, reciprocal saw, jig saw, circular saw, power drills, and building various items.
- Electrical work: removing and installing various outlets and switches, ballasts, fixing connectors, removing and installing various light fixtures, using various gauges, replacing circuit breakers, running wiring or cable, removing and installing ceiling fans or exhaust fans.
- Drywall: removing and replacing gypsum board, cutting for outlets, hanging nails or screws, paper sanding or wet sanding, taping joints and flair flats and corners, cut and attaching metal corners.
- Concrete/masonry: removing and installing concrete walks, curbs, or slabs; forming, mixing, and laying concrete or mortar; cutting and laying wire mesh or rebar; and leveling sand, brickwork, or blocks.
- Perform landscaping, lawn and shrub care and maintenance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous building and ground maintenance experience preferred.
- Must possess appropriate verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
Working Conditions
- Significant time walking throughout the facility; frequently stand, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
- Occasionally climb ladders, work at heights, and balance.
- Regular use of hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Frequently lift and move objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally handle heavier loads with assistance.
- Vision requirements: close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus for detailed work and safety awareness.
