Position Overview

Vitro is seeking a General Maintenance Mechanic to perform plant maintenance in a safe and efficient manner to support high levels of production. This role adheres to Vitro's environmental policies to minimize impacts on the environment. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing various types of machinery, including welding, millwrighting, pipefitting, and electrical work. The position operates on a 24/7, 7-day-a-week schedule with a rotating shift.

Skills And Requirements

• Use of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of bearings, gears, couplings, etc.
• Knowledge of cylinders, valves, and solenoids
• Experience with preventative maintenance in an industrial setting
• Basic Welding/Fabrication
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Basic 3-phase electrical experience
• Basic Control Systems troubleshooting
• Ability to understand electrical and mechanical schematics
• Advanced fabrication ability (a plus)
• Basic machining skills with mills and lathes (a plus)
• PLC and advanced motor control experience (a major plus)
