Maintenance

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems. You will provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service. Additional responsibilities include:

• Performing simple machinist duties and mechanical tasks including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
• Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments.
• Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Handling a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Using hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Detecting faulty operations or defective materials and reporting unusual situations to supervision.
• Complying with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience; two years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Technical degree, apprenticeship certification, or maintenance experience in the corrugated industry or food manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food industry standards for production, safety, waste, and AIB/SQF housekeeping.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude skills.
• Solid basic math skills and ability to follow written instructions.
• Proficiency in interfacing with computers and entering data into various software platforms; previous CMMS experience desired.
• Self-directed, self-motivated work performance with a proven track record in safety and quality.
• Professional attitude and strong communication skills.

Pay

$33.93 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time night shift on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule.

Location
