Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other systems.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and address them before failure occurs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with production staff to address equipment malfunctions and optimize performance.
- Install new equipment and systems, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Affix in the planning and execution of equipment upgrades or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future action.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field. Certifications in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems are a plus.
- Skills And Competencies: Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in environments with machinery noise, vibration, and potential exposure to chemicals.
