About the Role

Fredericksburg Enterprises, Inc. is seeking self-motivated individuals with strong customer service skills and hotel maintenance experience to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including guest rooms, public space, and heart-of-the-house areas
• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work, and masonry
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention

Requirements

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous background from the extended stay industry or apartment building maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics
• Reading and writing abilities to receive instructions and read equipment manuals, including safety information
• Frequently standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
• Regular use of commercial chemicals
• Ability to carry, lift, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds
