EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
- Performs the semi-skilled tasks in assisting skilled workers on work projects concerned with cleanings and repairs to tenant/agency units.
- Makes repairs to structures, related physical facilities, dwelling units and equipment.
- Aids in making repairs on heating systems and plumbing systems.
- Aids in installing and repairing electrical systems.
- Maintains grounds maintenance.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
- Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to graduation of high school/vocational degree and one year experience in general construction and building maintenance work.
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and pass drug testing.
Knowledge And Abilities
- Knowledge of common methods, materials and equipment used in carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical trades.
- Ability to use, operate and care for power and hand tools related to the building and mechanical trades.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
