Maintenance

About the role

Responsible for plant maintenance operations including maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment, utilities operations, preventative maintenance, environmental systems, and plant refurbishment and renovations. The role ensures all plant equipment, mechanical systems, and electronic systems are operational with minimal downtime.

While performing duties, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast-paced warm/cool environments; chemicals and solvents; and requires operation of moving vehicles. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, use of stairs, and wearing PPE in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery.
• Use a variety of tools to repair, retrieve, and maintain all equipment in working order.
• Conduct daily set-up of area and troubleshoot.
• Follow instructions for specific assigned tasks.
• Work around or with machinery and power sources such as electricity.
• Ensure safety, food safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance-related subjects.
• Willingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must be able to work 10–12-hour shifts.
• All candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.
