About the role

South Beach Manor, our beautiful memory care facility located in South Beach, OR, is looking for a Maintenance Technician. If you are passionate about helping seniors live in a well-kept and safe environment, this might be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

• Support safe practices, infection control, and respect for residents’ rights
• Coordinate projects maintenance and upkeep with Administrator/Office Manager and home office
• Ensure compliance with AHJ
• Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance relating to maintenance
• Provide or coordinate routine grounds maintenance
• Assure that all safety equipment is in proper working order
• Provide finish work, surface repair, painting
• Assist in planning and implementing large projects
• Document work in the manner required by home office
• Be willing and able to assist in other departments of the community

Requirements

• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must have a driver's license & pass a motor vehicle record check
• Willing to work nights and weekends as needed for emergencies
• Must follow safety and OSHA regulations
• Must have a working knowledge of building maintenance and upkeep
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must have a strong commitment to customer service
• Must have computer skills
• Able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds routinely
• Able to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, and climb ladders

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Mon - Fri: 8am - 4:30pm
• On-call as needed

Pay

Starting wage is $25/hour, DOE
