Maintenance

About the role

A full-time Maintenance Technician position in David City, NE for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy troubleshooting and ensuring equipment runs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder’s torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
• Maintain plant sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.
• Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Able to be available for on-call status periodically (as needed).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
