About the role
Hospital maintenance employees are responsible for maintaining the extensive heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems in hospitals. Some other duties could include minor welding, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and minor carpentry repairs to walls, roofs, windows, or ceilings. In this job you could wind up working independently or as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
- Maintain hospital heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems
- Perform minor welding, plumbing, and electrical repairs
- Perform minor carpentry repairs to walls, roofs, windows, or ceilings
- Work independently or as part of a crew
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/TASC required
- 1 year minimum experience
- Proof of trade or vocational program
- Proper licenses and certifications required
Schedule
- All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes
- General shift availability: Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p), Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a), Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
- Every other weekend is usually required for all positions
