Maintenance Associate - Bar Harbor Inn and Spa

About the role

The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Associate to join their team for the season. This full-time seasonal position is available now through December, offering a great opportunity to work in one of Maine’s most iconic oceanfront destinations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the property
• Respond to guest service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Aid in general upkeep, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks
• Support preventative maintenance programs and seasonal property needs
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces, tools, and equipment
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Assist with groundskeeping and outdoor upkeep as needed
• Work collaboratively with housekeeping and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience

Requirements

• Prior maintenance or facilities experience preferred, but not required
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Qualifications

This position requires a reliable, punctual, and flexible individual who can work nights, weekends, and holidays. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with basic computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
