Maintenance Associate
Position Summary
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including cleaning, setting up, closing and maintaining facility to support the achievement of Joints' goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing a wide range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to cleaning floors, windows, tables, chairs, and equipment
- Performing required light maintenance including but not limited to changing light bulbs, changing washers in faucets, and inspecting and cleaning grease traps
- Initiating set up of tables and chairs for various functions
- Maintaining personal health and sanitation standards
- Reading and interpreting safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly facility
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic reading skills
- Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
- Possess basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Basic mechanical skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequent use of hands and fingers, handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls
- Standing their entire shift and frequent sitting and reaching with hands and arms
- Lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Sustaining contact and immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions, and washing hands frequently
- Frequent exposure to unusual elements such as high temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, steam, humidity, unpleasant odors, and loud noises
- May encounter slips, trips, falls, and burns
- Frequent hand-eye coordination
- Frequent exposure to noise level in the work environment
